University of North Bengal

The University of North Bengal, also known as the North Bengal University, was established with an aim to impart education through the means of teaching, training and research. Since its establishment, this university has focused on various disciplines of advanced learning. Another aim of this university is to promote spreading out of knowledge in order to revolutionize the scenario of socio economic and technical education. In the scenario of technocracy, demand of efficient manpower was becoming gradually explicit in the six North Bengal districts and Sikkim. The faculty of technical education is playing a crucial role in satisfying this need.
