Miscellaneous Services Recruitment Examination

Age: minimum 18 yrs and maximum 32 yrs, Upper age limit is relaxable by five years for SC/ST and three years for BC candidates of West Bengal and upto 45 years for Physically Handicapped persons having Physical disabilities of 40% and above. [For Sub-Inspector of Excise – Physical standard required: Minimum height 160 c.m. and Chest girth 76 c.m. after full expiration, with a minimum expansion of 5 c.m. Height relaxable by 7.6 c.m. for Gorkhas, Garhwalis and Assamese.

Educational Qualifications:

1. A degree of a recognized University or its equivalent.
2. Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required for recruitment in the case of candidates from hill areas of the District of Darjeeling, i.e. for Nepalispeaking candidates).
