Sub-Inspector, Surgeant in Kolkata Police

Age: minimum 18 yrs and maximum 32 yrs Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC & ST candidates and by 3 years for BC candidates of West Bengal. Upper age limit is also relaxable upto 35 years for departmental candidates having requisite qualifications. SC/ST/BC candidates not belonging to the state of West Bengal shall be treated as General candidates. No departmental candidates shall be allowed to appear in the Combined Competitive Examination

Educational Qualifications:

1. A Degree of a recognized University or its equivalent;
2. Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required for recruitment in the case of Nepali speaking candidates from hill areas of the district of Darjeeling).
